How do I insert and remove my racks from my Frigidaire range?

The type of racks in your range may vary by model. Based on your appliance, your Owner’s Manual provides a description of various types of racks. Most racks can simply be removed by pulling the oven rack straight out until it reaches the stop position. Tilt up the front of the oven rack to slide past the stop position and pull the rack out of the oven cavity. To insert the rack, rest the oven rack evenly between a left and right front guide along the oven walls so that the oven rack rests level. Tilt front of the rack upward and slide rack in past the stop position. Then bring the rack to a level position and slide the rack completely inside the oven.

To keep your oven racks gliding smoothly when you’re removing or inserting them, we recommend applying cooking oil along their outer edges.

If your oven is equipped with the Effortless Oven Rack system, you can refer to your Owner’s Manual for specific instructions. The Effortless Oven Rack system will automatically partially extend the oven rack from the interior oven glides to assist in easier access to your food items. This feature works whenever the oven door is opened or closed. IMPORTANT: Only the Effortless Oven Rack system should be used in the oven rack position 2. Placing any other rack in the oven rack position 2 will prevent the oven door from fully closing and may damage the oven door, oven cavity or the door connector brackets.

How do I clean my Frigidaire range?

Your Owner’s Manual provides helpful tips regarding care and cleaning for your range to include the exterior and interior components such as knobs, stainless steel, racks, door and cooktop, etc. You can also purchase cleaners directly. If your appliance has Smudge Proof Stainless Steel, use a soft cloth, clean with a mild dish detergent and water or a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Rinse with clean water, dry with a soft clean cloth. Do not use appliance cleaner, stainless steel cleaner or cleaner containing abrasives, chlorides, chlorine or ammonia. These cleaners may damage the finish.

How do I set my oven or range to self-clean?

To self-clean your oven, follow these simple steps:

  1. Remove the oven racks.
  2. Set your oven control to clean.
  3. Select a cleaning time or choose a cleaning level: light, medium, or heavy soiled. For typical cleaning needs, we recommend that you select a cleaning time of three hours or choose the medium soiled setting.
  4. Select Start. (To set a delayed start, see your use and care manual.)

Note: For safety reasons, the oven door will remain locked until the oven cools down. When it is sufficiently cool, the door will automatically unlock.

What does the Lock feature do and how can I activate it?

Your appliance may be equipped with the ability to Lock the oven door and display controls. To set the oven Lock feature (instructions may vary by model – check your Owner’s Manual for more details):

Press OFF and hold for 6 seconds. Lock will appear in the display, the door locked indicator light will flash, and the door lock will begin to close. Allow about 15 seconds for the oven door to lock. Once the oven is locked, the current time of day will appear in the display.
To cancel the oven Lock feature, press Off and hold for 6 seconds. The control will unlock the oven door and resume normal operations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cooking is faster and easier! Already a time and sanity saver! I am cooking in a real life kitchen with clutter, food spills and other obstacles and have immediately appreciated the ease of cooking with this range. Water boils in literally seconds and is easy to control so there isn't messy spills over the sides of the pot. If there are spills, you simply wipe them away. Food on the stovetop is cooking evenly and there is instant gratification when changing the heat intensity. I have not tried the air fryer yet, but am looking forward to experimenting with that. It is a good looking range and gives our kitchen a "facelift". [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Super product We purchased this range about one week ago but was somewhat disappointed at first since I couldn't get the burners to turn on very well. Tried and tried by just pushing the buttons but it took a long time for the burners to come on. However, after talking to the sales person where we purchased it, he said that maybe the control buttons were heat related so after returning home, tried to turn them on with just a touch with my finger for a second and viola, it worked. Other than that short glitch, am very happy with the induction feature as well as the air fry. Couldn't be happier and look forward to a long relationship. Rated 5 out of 5 by from What an oven I had an induction stovetop when i lived in Europe 30 years ago and have been craving one ever since. Talk about stupid fast heat times and looks. The ability to get it with a convection oven and air fry is a bonus. Used the air fry feature last night and realized I now can get rid of my counter top air fryer I have been using for two years. Definitely a great a buy. Only drawback is it does not come with an electrical cord and when delivered, the installers are not are not allowed to connect the purchased cord to the oven which is something you must do. SO asking or paying for installation is a waste of time. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best Induction cooktop ever I've had this range for over three months and love so many things about it. Great convection oven. I recommend checking whatever your cooking a couple minutes early as I've think this oven is more powerful than my previous one. Also the convection fan is way quieter than my last one too. But the cooktop is my favorite. We had induction before but this one is even better. Less buzzing noise with same pan. Faster response. Controls are easy to read and simple. Not a huge fan of the Air Fry feature, but it's fun to have should we want to use. Overall best stove I've ever had!

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Good We like our new stove, in particular the autosizing and the control over the heat. It is also easier to keep clean than regular flat top cookers. We also like the new cookware we had to invest in. Our previous stove did not have a convection oven, so this is an improvement. The first use of the AirFry feature was no overwhelming success, so we cannot review that feature until we have more experience. There is an annoying crevice between the cooking surface and the front panel which catches whatever you use for cleaning. The bottom drawer is shallow and its sliders feel cheap. All in all a good buy. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Nice overall, though control panel is touchy So far really enjoying the new stove, it looks great, induction seems to work well with our new pots/pans, and the price was reasonable (significantly lower than MSRP). The "Air-Fry" technology seems to be hit or miss, did great with Egg Rolls, chicken, and crisping up broccoli, but was only a little better than baking for frozen mozzerella sticks. Might just take some time to get used to. Only real complaint I have is that the control panel can be quite touchy, sometimes it will activate when I brush against it leaning over it, and other times I'll have to press relatively hard to get it to activate. Hasn't been a big deal so far, but that's been the one major concern. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game changer I will be honest I haven’t owned this for that long but everything has come out great of the oven. Love the convection and air fryer. The induction is amazing my old electro 20 year old stove took over ten minutes to barely boil. I boiled water for a box of Mac n cheese in 90 seconds. Boiled a very large pot of water in under 5 minutes, a full roiling boil. The stove top cools to the touch in seconds after removing the cookware. This range looks higher end. It had everything I wanted, except the air fryer. I didn’t know I wanted that option, but I sure like it! I wasn’t really looking at prices, as I knew I’d have to pay more for an induction stove but surprised myself and actually picked the less expensive option for once! This was $600 under the next lowest price induction top I could find. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Large oven and induction cooking We bought this to replace a 16 year old stove with a ceramic top that baked slowly and shorted out during use. It's an adjustment but the induction top is fast and efficient. The convection oven bakes well without adding time to a recipe. I can bake 2 sheets of cookies together and not worry about the oven going out while baking. It looks very nice and cleans up well. We place a large glass cutting board over the glass top when not in use as we were used to using the stove top as extra counter space. Overall, a great purchase!
