How do I improve my baking results with my Frigidaire range?

You may be surprised to learn your bakeware can impact your baking results. By using the proper rack position, you can improve your baking results - - especially if you are baking on multiple racks. Your Owner’s Manual has great tips and tricks to optimize your baking performance and recommended rack positions based on food type. For more information or tips to try, review the “Before You Call” section of your Owner’s Manual if you are experiencing any issues with your baking performance.

How do I insert and remove my racks from my Frigidaire range?

The type of racks in your range may vary by model. Based on your appliance, your Owner’s Manual provides a description of various types of racks. Most racks can simply be removed by pulling the oven rack straight out until it reaches the stop position. Tilt up the front of the oven rack to slide past the stop position and pull the rack out of the oven cavity. To insert the rack, rest the oven rack evenly between a left and right front guide along the oven walls so that the oven rack rests level. Tilt front of the rack upward and slide rack in past the stop position. Then bring the rack to a level position and slide the rack completely inside the oven.

To keep your oven racks gliding smoothly when you’re removing or inserting them, we recommend applying cooking oil along their outer edges.

If your oven is equipped with the Effortless Oven Rack system, you can refer to your Owner’s Manual for specific instructions. The Effortless Oven Rack system will automatically partially extend the oven rack from the interior oven glides to assist in easier access to your food items. This feature works whenever the oven door is opened or closed. IMPORTANT: Only the Effortless Oven Rack system should be used in the oven rack position 2. Placing any other rack in the oven rack position 2 will prevent the oven door from fully closing and may damage the oven door, oven cavity or the door connector brackets.

How do I clean my Frigidaire range?

Your Owner’s Manual provides helpful tips regarding care and cleaning for your range to include the exterior and interior components such as knobs, stainless steel, racks, door and cooktop, etc. You can also purchase cleaners directly. If your appliance has Smudge Proof Stainless Steel, use a soft cloth, clean with a mild dish detergent and water or a 50/50 solution of vinegar and water. Rinse with clean water, dry with a soft clean cloth. Do not use appliance cleaner, stainless steel cleaner or cleaner containing abrasives, chlorides, chlorine or ammonia. These cleaners may damage the finish.

How do I set my oven or range to self-clean?

To self-clean your oven, follow these simple steps:

  1. Remove the oven racks.
  2. Set your oven control to clean.
  3. Select a cleaning time or choose a cleaning level: light, medium, or heavy soiled. For typical cleaning needs, we recommend that you select a cleaning time of three hours or choose the medium soiled setting.
  4. Select Start. (To set a delayed start, see your use and care manual.)

Note: For safety reasons, the oven door will remain locked until the oven cools down. When it is sufficiently cool, the door will automatically unlock.

What does the Lock feature do and how can I activate it?

Your appliance may be equipped with the ability to Lock the oven door and display controls. To set the oven Lock feature (instructions may vary by model – check your Owner’s Manual for more details):

Press OFF and hold for 6 seconds. Lock will appear in the display, the door locked indicator light will flash, and the door lock will begin to close. Allow about 15 seconds for the oven door to lock. Once the oven is locked, the current time of day will appear in the display.
To cancel the oven Lock feature, press Off and hold for 6 seconds. The control will unlock the oven door and resume normal operations.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cooking is faster and easier! Already a time and sanity saver! I am cooking in a real life kitchen with clutter, food spills and other obstacles and have immediately appreciated the ease of cooking with this range. Water boils in literally seconds and is easy to control so there isn't messy spills over the sides of the pot. If there are spills, you simply wipe them away. Food on the stovetop is cooking evenly and there is instant gratification when changing the heat intensity. I have not tried the air fryer yet, but am looking forward to experimenting with that. It is a good looking range and gives our kitchen a "facelift". [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from The perfect range What a great product! It is so easy to use and it really cuts down cooking time. I love how easy it is to clean and that spills don't burn on the surface. I made spaghetti and meat sauce last night and that is as messy as it gets and it was so easy to clean. The Air Fry capability is my favorite, I can make french fries, wings, empanadas, chicken parm, the list goes on and on. definitely worth every penny.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Game changer I will be honest I haven’t owned this for that long but everything has come out great of the oven. Love the convection and air fryer. The induction is amazing my old electro 20 year old stove took over ten minutes to barely boil. I boiled water for a box of Mac n cheese in 90 seconds. Boiled a very large pot of water in under 5 minutes, a full roiling boil. The stove top cools to the touch in seconds after removing the cookware. This range looks higher end. It had everything I wanted, except the air fryer. I didn’t know I wanted that option, but I sure like it! I wasn’t really looking at prices, as I knew I’d have to pay more for an induction stove but surprised myself and actually picked the less expensive option for once! This was $600 under the next lowest price induction top I could find. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Best stove I've owned. Induction is awesome. I cannot imagine that anything will ever beat induction cooking. I've owned the previous model of this stove for nearly 3 years now, and I am extremely happy I went with it. Pros: Efficiency Doesn't heat up kitchen Speed Cons: Nada [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Cooks food faster with less mess! I received my new induction range about 5 days ago, and I’m really enjoying it so far. I’m a working mom with a young child. I love to cook but don’t always have enough time to do it. I think this range will meet my needs and make cooking more fun. I was worried about finding the right pans for the induction cooktop, but using a magnet to test the pans worked great. If the magnet stuck, then the pan worked! And I thought induction would be noisy, but it’s not! The controls and buttons are easy to figure out. Water really does boil in less than 5 minutes! Watch it closely. The stove is so quiet that my pan boiled over without a warning, but the clean up was a breeze because the stovetop surface isn’t hot! It was like wiping water off of a table, left no residue. I love that the surface doesn’t get hot - great safety feature for little kids. The oven preheats in 5 minutes and I love the air fry feature! I baked a lasagna with the standard bake feature and I could tell it cooked more evenly than it would have with my previous electric range. Only complaint is that one of my burners doesn’t work, but the company sent someone out quickly and I’ve had nothing but superior service! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Love this range! This range has redefined our time in the kitchen! The powerboil feature is a gamechanger when cooking a quick dinner after work. Within 90 seconds, water for pasta was at a rolling boil. Food cooks evenly on the burners and the rangetop cleans easily. The airfryer is perfect for feeding a large family - homemade chicken wings have become our new favorite meal. The meat falls right off the bone yet are crispy on the outside! (chicken wing restaurant beware - this range may put you out of business) Pork chops and bacon cook beautifully in the oven - we have tried them both airfried and baked. The oven cleans easily and is has plenty of space for cooking multiple dishes at once. The range is great looking in our kitchen. If you are considering a new range, this one is for you! Rated 5 out of 5 by from LOVE my new cooking lifestyle! I've had this range for just over a week, and I could never (willingly) go back to using a gas or conventional electric cooktop. The induction performance is mind-blowing - boiling water as fast as you can think about it, and taking a boil to a perfect simmer in the time it takes to change the setting. There's minimal heat transfer to the cooktop, meaning splatters and spills clean up with a paper towel as soon as the pot is off the "burner." I haven't tried the Air Fry feature yet, but the convection bake option allows me to reduce time or temperature during the cycle, saving electricity and cooking very evenly, even on multiple racks (it comes with three, but I've used only two at a time so far). If this unit lives up to Frigidaire's usual high standards of reliability and longevity, it may well be my last range EVER! [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
