If your Frigidaire Top Load washer was recently installed, here are a few things to check if your washer is vibrating:The washer needs to be resting firmly on the floor.

Check to ensure it is level (both front to back and side to side), with each washer leg placed solidly on the floor.

You can adjust the leveling legs by simply turning the legs slightly in or out until the washer is firmly on the floor, then tight the lock nuts.

TIP: Leveling legs should not extend more than ½ inch below the washer bottom.The washer needs to be installed on a sturdy, hard floor. It is not recommended that you install the washer on carpeting.Shipping materials may not have been removed during the installation.

The laundry load may be off balance. Turn the power off and wait for the lid to unlock. Redistribute the clothes evenly in the washer.

Frigidaire Laundry Centers have low-profile agitators that clean laundry in a different way than traditional washing machines.

These high performance washers are designed to use less water and energy while being gentle on your clothes. The low profile agitators also free up space for larger loads, making it easier to add and remove laundry.

Most alarms or beeps are designed to alert of you of changes in your Laundry Center or an action on your part is required. Here are some normal operating beeps or blinking lights:

For the washer:

Beep(s) will occur when you select your washing cycles and settings for each loadBeep(s) will occur when you Pause a laundry load and the display will blink “Close Washer Lid” will illuminate if the washer lid is open.

Just close the washer lid before starting the washer.“Balance Load” will illuminate if the wash load is unbalanced in the tub during the wash cycle. Pause the washer and redistribute the wash load.

For the dryer:

Beep(s) will occur when you start a drying cycle before the drum begins to rotate.Beep(s) will occur when you Pause a laundry load. “Close Dryer Door” will illuminate if the dryer door is open. Just close the dryer door before starting the dryer. “Clean Lint” will illuminate and in some models blink after EACH drying cycle.

Clean the lint filter after every use. “Clean Lint” may remain blinking as part of normal operations even after you have cleaned the filter.

Getting to know your Frigidaire Laundry Center is pretty simple!

First, once you have loaded your washer or dryer and closed the lid/door, turn the cycle selector in either direction to scroll to your desired cycle. In some models the indicator for your selection will be illuminated.

For the washer:

1. You are now ready to press the WASH TEMP button to cycle through wash water temperatures until the desired temperature is selected.
2. Press the WATER LEVEL button to select your wash water level.
3. And finally, press START/PAUSE to begin. Your laundry center may beep. You may also hear your lid lock on the washer with a click sound.

For the dryer:

1. You are now ready to select the temperature setting most suitable for your load.
2. And then, press START/PAUSE to begin. If you need to add a forgotten item to your laundry load, press the START/PAUSE button to pause the cycle – you may hear a beep.
3. Wait for the washer tub or dryer drum to stop and the lid lock to release (if you are adding to your washer). Add the item and then close the washer lid or dryer door and press START/PAUSE again to continue.

TIP: If you need to change your settings after the cycle has started, you will need to CANCEL the wash or dry cycle. You may hear a beep, wait for the washer tub or dryer drum to come to a stop and the lid lock to disengage (on your washer).

You can then re-select your cycle, wash or dry temp and/or water level. Don’t forget to press START/PAUSE once you are ready to begin.

If water is leaking from your washer, check the list below:

Is the drain clogged?

If so, it will need to be cleaned; you may need to contact a plumber.

Is the drain hose restricted or out of the standpipe?

If it is out of the standpipe, you will need to secure it. You can do this by bending the end to form a hook, placing the hooked end into the standpipe, and tying the hose to the standpipe or a faucet with a cable tie (one was supplied with the washer), strong filament tape or duct tape.

Are the fill-hose connections loose or cross-threaded at the faucet or washer?

Check by realigning the threads, make sure that the rubber sealing washers are in good shape and seated properly, and tighten the hose connections. If they are loose, you might need to reinstall or replace the rubber sealing washers.

Are you using a non-high-efficiency detergent or too much detergent or do you have soft water?

Using a non-high-efficiency detergent or using too much detergent in soft water can cause suds to overflow the washer. This may seem like a leak if the suds flow or drip onto the floor.

To avoid this, use an high-efficiency detergent, and reduce the amount of detergent you use if your water is soft. If you are unable to resolve an issue or need more information, please contact us.

If you recently installed your Frigidaire Laundry Center, here are a few things to consider:

High-efficiency washers are designed to use less water and energy. It is normal for the water level to appear lower than what you may have experienced with an older unit.

Most Frigidaire Laundry Centers rely on sensory technology and will determine the proper water level for each load – water will enter the washer tub once the sensory cycle is complete (which can a few minutes).

If water is flowing to your washer slowly or isn’t flowing at all, you might find a solution below:Hot and cold water faucets. Be sure your water supply faucets are completely open.Water-fill hoses.

Check your water hoses to see if they might be kinked. If so, simply straighten the hoses.Water pressure. Your washer needs sufficient water pressure to fill.

Check to see if water is being used elsewhere in your home such as shower, bath and dishwasher while the washer is trying to fill.Washer lid. Make sure the lid is completely closed. Your washer will not operate with the lid open.Filter on water valve.

If the filter screens on your water valve are clogged, turn off your water faucets and remove the hoses from the valve connections. Clean the filter screens and then reconnect the hoses; turn on the water.Drain hose standpipe.

Check to ensure the drain hose standpipe is at the correct height – to ensure the drain hose standpipe is at the correct height – it must be a minimum of 33” high to prevent siphoning.

For laundry loads needing extra water, some Frigidaire Laundry Centers have the Max Fill feature. Pressing the Max Fill button adds the maximum amount of water possible, and will increase the duration of the cycle time.

Yes, you can!

If using liquid bleach – add the bleach to the compartment located in the left front corner under the washer lid and then add 1 cup of water to flush the dispenser.

It is not recommended to put powdered bleach in the bleach compartment but rather add it directly to the wash tub BEFORE adding your laundry.

Max Fill is an option available on some models for loads that require extra washer.

Pressing the Max Fill button adds the maximum amount of water possible, and will increase the cycle duration time.

The Max Fill feature is not recommended for regular use but rather special instances. The Max Fill feature is also not available with all cycles.

There probably is simple solution to getting your Frigidaire Laundry Center running as it should.

Whether your unit was just installed or you have been using for a while, we recommend checking the following:

Ensure the power cord fits tightly in the wall outlet and you are getting power to your washer. If no power, check to ensure a house fuse isn’t blown or the circuit breaker tripped.

Your Frigidaire Laundry Center should be on its own circuit breaker and not shared with other outlets or appliances.

Check to make sure the water supply faucets are turned on.Make sure the unit is level.If everything checks out okay – let’s try these tips:

Check the lid. Make sure the washer lid and/or dryer door are closed – laundry center will not start if the lid or door is open. Press Start. Don’t forget to press the START/PAUSE button after making your selections. Load sensing.

With most Frigidaire Laundry Centers, the first 2 minutes of the cycle are spent sensing the size of the load so you may not hear the water filling right away. Water will start to enter the tub once the sensory cycle is complete. Cycle may be paused. If the cycle initially started but appears to have stopped, your washer may just be in a pause stage. This is perfectly normal, a pause will occur between the Wash and Spin cycles with an additional pause during the Soak cycle.

To prevent odors, remove clothing from the washer promptly. Feel free to use a damp cloth or mild soap and water to clean the top and sides of the laundry center.

Be sure to avoid hard, gritty or abrasive cleanser. Dry the washer top, the area around the lid opening and the underside of the lid to prevent often to avoid moisture build-up.

When possible, to help prevent odors and humidity accumulation, leave the lid open for a little bit of time or when not in use.

When washing heavily soiled items, shake or brush off excess dirt or sand before putting in the washer. A dirty residue may remain in the tub, simply wipe it with a non-abrasive household cleaner, and then use the RINSE ONLY cycle.

For the dryer:

Clean the lint filter after every load. Lint build-up on the filter restricts air flow, which causes longer drying times.

Occasionally a waxy build-up may form on the lint filter from using dryer-added fabric softener sheets. Simply wash the filter with warm, soapy water. Dry the filter thoroughly and put back in the dryer.

DO NOT use the dryer without the lint filter in place.

Every 18 months, it is recommended to have a qualified service personnel clean the dryer cabinet interior and exhaust duct. These areas can collect lint and dust over time. An excessive amount of lint build-up can result in reduced drying performance.

Some noises are perfectly normal with your Frigidaire Laundry Center.

When the lid lock becomes engaged or disengaged, you will hear a double click sound – just locking the lid.Heavier loads occasionally cause a thumping sound at the beginning of the spin cycle – no worries!

Check for belt buckles or other fasteners on clothing items being washed or dried that may cause rattling or clanking sounds.

TIP: Fasten these items or turn your clothing inside out to reduce sounds.Check the pockets! Rattling and clanking can also be caused by loose or foreign objects such as coins in the washer tub or dryer drum.Simply stop the washer or dryer and check for any objects.

If you don’t find anything and the noises continue, try running an empty load to see if the noise persists. This will allow you to determine if the noise is coming from the washer, dryer or an article of clothing.

Specifically for your dryer:

The dryer drum is supported by a set of suspension rollers. At times there may be a thumping or rolling sound when the dryer starts. This may happen if the dryer has not been in use for a period time, or after a heavy load has remained in the dryer drum for an extended period time.

The noise should go away as the dryer operates. Your dryer is equipped with a high volume air handling system. In some cases there may be sounds associated with air movement throughout the dryer, including the air duct, blower, and exhaust system.

This is normal and can vary with the load size.

There are few items to check if you experience drainage issues with your Frigidaire Top Load washer especially if it was recently installed.

Check the drain hose – if it’s kinked, straighten it to improve the water flow to the drain.Be sure the drain is clear and not clogged.

The standpipe cannot be more than 96 inches high.If the drain hose has been taped (or sealed) into the standpipe, the seal should not be completely tight because the standpipe requires air for proper draining.

You may need to remove some of the tape on the seal to make an air path.Make sure the drain hose isn’t fitted too tightly in the standpipe.

The standpipe needs to be at least 1 ¼ inches in diameter.If you suspect your pump is clogged – you may need to contact service.

Did you know…using too much laundry detergent can inhibit draining? Always use the recommended amount of detergent and do not fill any compartment in your dispenser beyond the maximum amount line.

For best results, use a high-efficiency detergent because they are designed for Frigidaire Laundry Centers like yours, which use less water.

They are also formulated to reduce soap suds and ensure proper cleaning.

For powder, liquid, or detergent packs -

Simply, add your detergent directly into the wash tub BEFORE adding your laundry – this will help mix the detergent into the water. The amount of detergent depends on the type of detergent you are using, load size, and water hardness.

You can use fabric softener with your laundry center by following these simple steps:

If your laundry center is equipped with a dispenser, add the fabric softener into the dispenser compartment labeled Fabric Softener and select the Fabric Softener button.

If you do not have a dispenser, you can

1) add diluted fabric softener to the final rinse or

2) use a fabric softener dispensing ball.

If you choose to use other wash products such as water conditioners, detergent boosters, and enzyme products – just simply place them directly in the wash tub with your detergent BEFORE adding your laundry.

Always refer to your detergent and/or bleach manufacturer’s instructions for proper dosage.
