Love it
I've only been using this a/c about a week, and not every day--YET (anything over 75dgs I'm hot and clammy)!! The main factor I love about this one is that it is relatively QUIET! It's almost the exact same model as the one I bought about 4 yrs ago, but this one seems way better! Mainly for the bedroom as I'm in an apt. It's neat looking, air flow is great. Haven't used the timing and/or sleep features yet, or used it for an extended period of time. I'll know more after I've kept it on all day or all night once the temps really get up there. Great Unit but...
We bought an 8k & a 6k unit to cool our beach cottage & placed them at opposite ends of the cottage leaving 1 door closed to separate the areas. We leave the remote controls in the center of each area & use the temp sensing feature (& ceiling fans in each rm to circulate the air). The 8k unit is excellent & temps only vary by 1-2 dgrs. With the 6k unit temps vary by 3-4 dgrs even though total sq ft is less than specs. Both units are high quality & well made, have great functionality & easy installation however, I’d recommend a more powerful unit if you’re planning to cool multiple rms. Runs Quiet
Been running this unit for over a month now. It was fairly easy to install (as much as any AC unit can be). It runs very quiet as compared to an old AC it was replacing of the same power. Seems to work well enough at cooling off the 150 sq ft bedroom it's in- I do leave the door open though so it runs pretty continuous. The LED temp display is actually a bit too bright for me at night, so I covered it with some painter's tape to dull it down a bit. The remote seems to be finicky- it didn't work for whatever reason at first, but now works when pointed straight at the unit. Overall, I'm satisfied with this purchase. Works well
I bought this unit a month ago to replace another unit (another brand) that was getting too noisy and inefficient. Delivery was fast. Overall, I like the unit and its energy saving features. I am yet to see if there would be any difference in my electric bill (all other things being equal). It is not too loud and it cools a bedroom of about 200 sq feet well in a few minutes. It is a very good purchase. I like the remote control that has panel telling you the room temperature. Overall, I think it is a descent air conditioner. Definately worth the money
So there was an issue with my order and as a result I received a discount as an apology, that of which I was NOT expecting. That being said I feel for what I paid for it it's definately worth it. Would I say it cools as effectively as advertised, perhaps. I do not use my AC 24/7 so I can't make this judgement 100 percent. I use it for bedtime and it cools the room enough for me to sleep and stay asleep on days where it is not 90 percent or above humidity and 91 at night. My room is 300 sq ft. Great AC
This AC does a great job cooling down my entire apartment, and it seems to have good build quality. I'd give this 5 stars but I find the thermostat on both the AC itself and remote (for when using remote sensing) is off. I have to set the temp much cooler than what I want otherwise the AC will cycle off too often. However it's not a big deal to just set the temp to a cooler setting to keep things comfy.

Fan making scraping noise
When I first bought this unit, it was working fine and I wanted to recommend it to friends. The unit was quiet and I loved it. Then the Fall season came and I turned it off for 2 months. This week, I decided to run it in Fan mode only and the fan immediately started making scraping noises. This unit is only 5 months old. Is it possible to open it up and inspect the fan or should I replace the unit while still under warranty? [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]
